About the Team

The Stelo team is reimagining consumer health engagement through the first over-the-counter glucose biosensor from Dexcom. The team focuses on AI-driven insights, partner ecosystem integrations, international expansion, and developing new features to make glucose data more personalized and actionable. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and dedicated to making cutting-edge health technology accessible to more people.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform program/project teams driving research, development, and V&V of wearable platforms from feasibility through commercialization, including collaboration with other platform and product teams on V&V, clinical trials, regulatory filings, and product releases.
• Lead cross-functional program/project teams, develop plans, and execute activities across R&D, Commercial, Operations, Quality, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance, and Legal.
• Drive cross-functional alignment of program scope, product roadmaps, delivery timelines, and communication/governance by an executive committee.
• Resolve internal and external product tradeoffs, manage risks, and make decisions within the bounds of the product contract.
• Regularly communicate strategy, recommendations, external product impacts, and updates to functional and executive leadership, driving management decisions when needed.
• Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration within teams by ensuring mutual accountability, removing organizational barriers, facilitating communication, and resolving conflicts promptly.
• Mentor team members and serve as an advisor on planning, milestones, task completion, risk burn-down, and conflict resolution. Provide candid feedback for performance reviews.

Requirements

• Demonstrated successful leadership of a complex medical device development program that introduced new technologies to market, utilizing strong technical, cross-functional, and risk management leadership.
• Cross-functional technical leadership and experience across mechanical, electrical, systems, and mobile app engineering disciplines in medical device product development or adjacent industries.
• Experience integrating complex hardware, software, and connected mobile experiences; driving technical tradeoffs across product architecture, design, verification, validation, and manufacturability.
• Experience supporting regulatory filings for novel medical technologies or combination medical devices through EU MDR and/or FDA pathways.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, highly dynamic environments with a high degree of ambiguity and trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and business information clearly through documents, reports, and presentations.
• Expertise with stage-gate product development frameworks and/or software development agile frameworks (medical preferred).
• Experience managing stakeholders at all technical and leadership levels, driving critical program decisions, and resolving competing interests.
• Experience in the Medical Device industry and knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards, including working within a Quality System compliant with FDA regulations related to Design Control.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 8+ years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD and 5+ years of experience.

Pay

$156,400.00 - $260,600.00

Schedule

• Travel required: 5-15%.
• Flexible workplace: Primary location is a home office. Must live within commuting distance of an assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
