Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape how advanced AI capabilities are applied to real business workflows, with a strong emphasis on secure design, scalable delivery, and measurable business impact. You will partner closely with business leaders and technical stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, turn them into actionable plans, and bring them to life across the organization. The position also calls for building reusable engineering standards, improving operational visibility, and mentoring others as the team expands its AI engineering practice.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to map workflows and identify high-value AI opportunities
- Design and deploy secure AI solutions across various methodologies
- Establish monitoring frameworks and manage ROI, cost attribution, and support plans
- Expand reusable engineering standards and playbooks while mentoring team members
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in AI/ML projects
- Hands-on experience with modern AI architecture components, including retrieval methods and Model Context Protocol integration
- Proven ability to collaborate directly with business stakeholders on discovery and actionable plans
- Experience in securing AI systems, implementing least-privilege access, and addressing data security concerns
- Strong proficiency in Python and deploying AI at scale on major cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure

Pay
$180,000 – $225,000 annually
