Responsibilities
- Build and improve backend systems and statistical models that enhance the Pinterest marketplace.
- Design and implement experiments to understand long-term marketplace effects.
- Develop strategies to balance long-term and short-term business objectives.
- Drive multi-functional collaboration with peers and partners to improve marketplace design and operations.
Requirements
- MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of industry experience.
- Strong software engineering and mathematical skills with knowledge of statistical methods.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale online e-commerce systems is a plus.
- Background in computational advertising is preferred, but not required.

Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $227,871—$469,147 USD, and eligibility for equity. Final salary is determined based on various factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.

Schedule
The role requires in-office collaboration 1 time/month and is located in San Francisco, Palo Alto, or Seattle. Relocation assistance is not provided.
