Sr Staff Accountant
About the role
The Morrisville, NC location plays a key role in delivering complex, contract-driven work tied to a major OEM partnership. The team is navigating the early stages of a recent ERP (Acumatica) implementation and is focused on stabilizing accounting operations, improving data integrity, and strengthening financial close and billing processes.
Responsibilities
- Help get financials closed accurately and on time
- Ensure revenue recognition is being applied correctly (ASC 606)
- Bring discipline to job costing and WIP tracking for manufacturing projects
- Identify and correct misclassified or inaccurate accounting entries
- Support adoption and proper use of the ERP across accounting and operations
Requirements
- Senior Staff Accountant or early Accounting Manager experience
- Strong accrual accounting fundamentals
- Proven experience working within an ERP environment (Acumatica a plus)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Job costing and WIP
- Fixed-price and time & materials billing
- Experience identifying and correcting accounting errors and system/process gaps
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, unstructured environment
- Mechanical or manufacturing accounting experience preferred
Qualifications
Manufacturing or project-based accounting experience preferred
Skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
