Role Overview

Patient conditions with mitral and tricuspid heart valve disease present complex challenges with limited treatment options. The Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) business unit aims to innovate with new technologies to meet these clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze 3D Computed Tomography (CT) reconstructions for cases to determine measurement suitability for anatomy suitable for BU implantation.
  • Provide comprehensive imaging reports for case planning purposes.
  • Perform CT reconstructions beyond the scope or experience of the field team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Track the case planning process through multiple technical platforms in partnership with analysts, field teams, sales operations, information technology, and external stakeholders.
  • Train field teams and healthcare providers on CT and other imaging modality acquisition and interpretation, providing guidance on case planning strategy execution.
  • Enter data for case planning measurements into CRM software.
  • Identify gaps in the CT acquisition process and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Design and develop training content relevant to image analysis for stakeholders (e.g., field support team and/or healthcare professionals).
  • Afford assistance in executing quality assurance processes and other process improvements for team members (e.g., field teams).
  • Participate in knowledge transfer sessions with the field team to review challenging cases and identify process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in related field or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria required.
  • Minimum five (5) years previous in-hospital clinical echocardiographic or cardiac sonography experience.
  • Certification in relevant imaging modality training (e.g., WINFOCUS, ARDMS, CCI) preferred.
  • Proficient in English language (speaking and written abilities) required.
  • Able to travel up to 15% (US based travel) required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Experience with imaging analysis software (e.g., TomTec, Xcelera, 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.) preferred.
  • Substantial knowledge of relevant imaging equipment operation (e.g., 2D or 3D TTE/TEE/ICE, CT, MRI, etc.) preferred.
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiovascular imaging preferred.
  • Demonstrates professional communication skills preferred.
  • Able to effectively guide and instruct other imaging specialists in clinical settings on effective imaging equipment operation preferred.
  • Strong diplomacy, influencing, and relationship management skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills preferred.
  • Substantial knowledge of relevant imaging equipment operation preferred.
  • Strict attention to detail preferred.
  • Able to work in a team environment, fostering collaboration between inter-departmental teams, HCPs, and KOLs preferred.
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control preferred.
