About the role

You will join a team of 40-45 representatives who assist internal and external clients with servicing, understanding, and finding flexible solutions for complex investments through phone calls and electronic channels. You will partner with Advisor Services Sales, Service, Advisor Family Office, Operations, and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) to understand the diverse needs of high-net-worth advisors and clients, serving as the central point of contact for alternative investments.

You will educate clients, prospects, and business partners and resolve issues on matters relating to regulation, legislation, exemptions, filings, and Schwab’s Alternative Investment process, service, and policy. Provide phone and email-based support to enhance the client experience and promote client retention through service quality and delivery of timely and accurate information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist internal and external clients with servicing, understanding, and resolving complex alternative investment issues via phone and electronic channels.
  • Partner with Advisor Services Sales, Service, Advisor Family Office, Operations, and RIAs to address the needs of high-net-worth advisors and clients.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for alternative investments.
  • Educate clients, prospects, and business partners on regulation, legislation, exemptions, filings, and Schwab’s Alternative Investment processes and policies.
  • Resolve issues and provide timely, accurate information to enhance client experience and retention.

Requirements

  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to condense policies and concepts into clear, concise language.
  • Problem resolution skills and effective collaboration across departments to resolve issues.
  • Ability to build consensus and persuade others in a matrixed organization.
  • Exercise business judgment, including identifying business risks and articulating those risks to business partners and all levels of management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time and resource management skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations or client service role (preferred).
  • Working experience with Alternative Investments (types, structures, and associated documentation) (preferred).
  • Ability to embrace change and innovation.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
