Sr Sourcing Specialist - TEMP

Position Summary

The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will enhance organizational capability as part of the global strategic sourcing team for various brands including SIT On It Seating, Albany Park, Edlo Finch, X-chair, Mavix, and Timbuk2. Reporting to the Director of Textiles, this role leads sourcing initiatives and supports new product introductions.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Lead sourcing initiatives to achieve aggressive timelines and financial goals for Timbuk2 and Textile development.
• Act as Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) in Bag and Luggage supply chain management, Trims, CMF activities, and Fabric sourcing.
• Evaluate and select suppliers in the luggage, bag, textile, and trims industry to create a world-class supply base.
• Collaborate with the NPI team to assist in the development process of new and innovative products.
• Work cross-functionally to improve sourcing processes and address product/quality issues.
• Manage seasonal calendars and key stakeholder relationships to meet critical retail dates.
• Participate in pre-costing, margin reporting, and price negotiations throughout the supply chain.
• Manage long-term agreements and key raw materials suppliers.

Qualifications, Skills and Education

• Required qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of Sourcing experience in a progressive Strategic Sourcing environment
• Experience in international supply chain management or equivalent education
• Working knowledge of international trade
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience with ERP systems or equivalent knowledge
• Preferred qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Business disciplines or Engineering
• Experience with Commodity Strategy creation and implementation
• Apparel or accessory development experience
• Project management experience
• R&D experience
• NPI experience

Working Conditions

The position requires frequent travel to manufacturing sites domestically and internationally, including visits to Northern Mexico. The position is based in Cypress, CA.
