Sr Sourcing Lead-Technology

As a Senior Sourcing Lead, you will leverage key spend data, market intelligence, and an integrated source-to-pay process to serve as a strategic partner to business line executives. This role focuses on driving shorter cycle times, enhancing market intelligence, fostering high-level strategic discussions, and identifying savings opportunities.

About the Role

The Senior Sourcing Lead reports to the Senior Sourcing Team Manager in Strategic Sourcing within Procurement. You will drive cost savings initiatives for assigned commodities, considering total cost of ownership across the Bank. Partnering with business owners, you will identify market and economic trends, execute strategies to improve third-party relationships, and align with business lines to support their goals while optimizing organizational value. This role primarily supports technology sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity strategies to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and enhance service levels by identifying opportunities and sourcing strategies for strategic or complex negotiations.
• Oversee all spend activity for assigned commodities and determine action plans for purchases meeting Procurement involvement thresholds.
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute sourcing initiatives, including competitive bidding processes and contract negotiations.
• Negotiate and redline contracts for all types of corporate transactions using an Agile contracting framework.
• Provide Category Procurement subject matter expertise for associated business functions.
• Collaborate with functional and business groups as a trusted advisor to determine product/service specifications and projected demand when recommending action plans.
• Maintain close relationships with industry supply bases and experts to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities for assigned categories and recommend key actions.
• Utilize analytical thinking and tools to identify new benefits, prioritizing projects to demonstrate business impact.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex negotiations and enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial modeling capability.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience working cross-functionally and driving consensus across stakeholders.
• Structured, organized, and methodical planning skills.
• Executive-level communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of third-party risk management frameworks and regulatory environments.
• Experience managing large, complex spend portfolios.
• MBA or professional certification (CPSM, CIPS, or similar).

Pay

The salary range for this position is $123,000–$161,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings (if applicable). Actual pay is based on various factors including budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
