Responsibilities
- Engage with executive and technical customers to design AWS-based solutions to business problems
- Understand and be able to explain key aspects of AWS services and how they fit into an overall technical architecture
- Guide customers on deploying infrastructure and applications in a secure, resilient, and scalable way
- Coach and mentor more junior SAs
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
Skills
- Passionate about engaging with executives to define and execute on enterprise cloud strategies
- Ability to define and execute on the technology strategy by engaging highly technical teams (other Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners)
- Identify motivators for cloud adoption and unlock enterprise challenges
- Assist customers by architecting solutions on AWS that leverage cloud best practices
- Solicit feedback from enterprise customers and influence future iterations of the AWS platform
- Assist with cost/benefit modeling and create compelling business cases/total cost of ownership studies for migration
- Assist in defining migration roadmaps to AWS and driving buy-in across complex organizational structures

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually.
