Responsibilities

• Engage with executive and technical customers to design AWS-based solutions to business problems
• Understand and be able to explain key aspects of AWS services and how they fit into an overall technical architecture
• Guide customers on deploying infrastructure and applications in a secure, resilient, and scalable way
• Coach and mentor more junior SAs

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities

Skills

• Passionate about engaging with executives to define and execute on enterprise cloud strategies
• Ability to define and execute on the technology strategy by engaging highly technical teams (other Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners)
• Identify motivators for cloud adoption and unlock enterprise challenges
• Assist customers by architecting solutions on AWS that leverage cloud best practices
• Assist with cost/benefit modeling and creating compelling business cases/total cost of ownership studies for migration
• Assist in defining migration roadmaps to AWS and driving buy-in across complex organizational structures

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually.
