Sr. Solutions Architect, Amazon Leo
About the role
Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.
Responsibilities
- Be the voice of the customer — engage directly with mobile network operators, broadcasters, tower companies, infrastructure teams, maritime/aviation providers, and rural broadband deployments to influence the roadmap of new features and service capabilities.
- Incubate and launch new solutions — design end-to-end architectures, lead technical discovery sessions, develop reference solutions, and support proofs of concept that enable customer use cases across LEO satellite and hybrid network environments.
- Translate customer requirements into product direction — understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with product management and engineering teams to guide the evolution of our offerings, with a focus on carrier-grade networking, WAN architectures, routing, traffic engineering, QoS, and hybrid connectivity across fiber, wireless, and satellite environments.
- Solve technical and commercial blockers creatively — develop new product offerings that bridge physical network constraints with scalable IP and cloud-integrated architectures aligned to customer operational goals.
- Earn trust through transparency and expertise — build long-term strategic partnerships with customers by demonstrating subject matter expertise in satellite communications, 4G/5G architectures, transport networks, backhaul systems, private wireless deployments, and distributed edge infrastructure.
- Develop and share technical content — create and capture best practices, reference architectures, white papers, code samples, and blog posts covering topics such as edge compute, hybrid cloud networking, secure overlays, and latency-sensitive workloads.
- Grow the Solutions Architecture organization — contribute through hiring, coaching, and mentoring others, and support knowledge sharing across the team.
