Sr. Software Engineer (Tech Lead)

The Sr. Software Engineer at Bloomerang plays a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our platform. This position requires a deep understanding of .NET (C#), TypeScript/Node, and React.js, along with proficiency in automated testing and event-driven development. The ideal candidate is a leader who thrives in an agile environment and is passionate about integrating AI tools to enhance development productivity.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and direction for your domain, ensuring the team builds scalable, maintainable, and aligned solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical bottlenecks, leveraging debugging tools to maintain the performance of our SaaS applications.
- Champion Agile ceremonies and workflows, ensuring iterative delivery, high velocity, and continuous improvement within the sprint cycle.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews in adherence to coding standards, providing constructive feedback to elevate the team's standards.
- Use AI tools (Claude Code, etc.) daily for coding, code analysis, and problem-solving.
- Serve as the technical lead, owning the development of the entire team — from junior to senior — by proactively identifying skill gaps, driving structured growth plans, and holding the bar high.
Requirements
- Full-Stack Proficiency: Deep expertise in .NET (C#) and TypeScript/Node, with a sophisticated understanding of React.js and modern JavaScript architecture.
- Data & Performance: Strong SQL skills and a firm grasp of multi-threading and asynchronous operations (async/await).
- Quality-First Mindset: Understanding of the test pyramid (unit, integration, and E2E) and a proven ability to build stability into the SDLC from day one.
- Future-Ready: Curiosity about the frontier of engineering, including the responsible integration of AI tools to drive efficiency and solve complex problems.
- Accountability: Model excellence and take ultimate responsibility for what your team ships. Evolve code review processes and automations to stay ahead of team growth.
- Technical Stewardship: Balance the need for speed with long-term stability, actively managing technical debt and ensuring systems are built to last.
- Product Partnership: Act as a true peer to Product Management, providing clarity on what is "risky" or "expensive," surfacing constraints early, and suggesting emerging technologies to solve challenging problems.

- Experience with .NET Core
- Experience with NestJS and Kafka
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

Pay
The salary range for this position is $114,800 - $160,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.
Schedule
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position (within the U.S. and select Canadian Provinces only). Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
