About the role

As a Sr Software Engineer at T-Mobile, you will work with a team of software, network, and systems engineers to craft, implement, and deploy software that meets customer requirements, scales easily, and supports deployment in highly available environments. You will actively participate in the architecture and design of various software components, focusing on applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms. This role involves delivering initiatives for T-Mobile for Business (TfB) using the Salesforce CRM application, integrating it with numerous applications, and developing improvements to provide best-in-class solutions for B2B customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Salesforce software solutions, conduct tests and inspections, and prepare reports and calculations to support engineering projects.
  • Supervise associate engineers on occasion.
  • Understand system protocols, operations, and data flows, and stay aware of current technology benefits.
  • Independently develop a full software stack and study current technology.
  • Present project improvement scenarios to management for consideration.
  • Monitor and influence relevant industry technologies and standards.
  • Present highly technical concepts to both technical and non-technical decision-makers.
  • Continuously learn, build content, and teach others specific subject areas.
  • Informally coach and contribute to the development of others through mentoring or in-house workshops and learning sessions.
  • Develop engineers across functional teams on technology decisions.
  • Design and implement new ideas using new frameworks to improve existing systems, processes, or services.
  • Conduct investigative independent study and problem-solving for non-routine tasks.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in a software engineering role.
  • Expertise in Apex, JavaScript, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience configuring and improving Salesforce Industry CPQ solutions.
  • Experience developing UI components using Aura Bundles and LWC.
  • Knowledge of Heroku and custom application development.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, SOAP, third-party integrations, and cloud-based services.
  • Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams such as design, product, and data teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms to ensure consistency with software engineering standard methodologies, including object-oriented and functional programming.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
  • Openness to learning new technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and with others.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications in Salesforce Platform Developer or Salesforce Cloud Development (preferred).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Travel is required for this role.

Pay

Base pay range: $113,600 - $205,000. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on work location, qualifications, and experience. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance, set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year (e.g., 15% target for this role).
