About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer role at PSI focuses on developing new features for the technologies we provide to our customers. You will work closely with engineering teams to scope, develop, and enhance .NET web-based applications with SQL databases, integrating with internal and third-party systems. This role is critical to maintaining PSI’s people-focused, quality brand.

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role based at our headquarters in Olathe, KS, with flexible hours around core office availability Monday to Friday. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, events, and workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute end-to-end development of key technology applications and platforms using senior-level expertise.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the Software Engineering teams.
  • Develop enterprise-class, scalable web applications.
  • Enhance and support existing web application functionality, including new feature development and resolving complex code issues.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, product managers, and engineers to build modern, scalable, user-friendly web applications in an Agile environment.
  • Participate in all aspects of the SDLC, including analysis, requirements, design, implementation, testing, and support.
  • Ensure quality through strong unit testing.
  • Review and analyze feature requirements.
  • Create and maintain product knowledge documentation.
  • Research and embrace new techniques and technologies.
  • Adhere to defined principles, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • US citizenship (required due to affiliation with government contracts).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with modern software development languages and front-end technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, Node.js, Go, React, Angular, CSS, HTML).
  • Experience designing and creating APIs.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Experience with accessibility work (e.g., WCAG) is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud technologies in Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with ORM technologies such as Hibernate.
  • Experience with relational databases like MSSQL.
  • Experience with GIT and JIRA.
  • Experience in fault-finding and resolving Priority 1 production issues.

Pay

$135,000 per year.
