Sr Software Engineer (Hybrid) Bolingbrook, IL

About the role

S&S Activewear is seeking a highly skilled Sr Software Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering Team. The role involves designing, developing, and enhancing scalable, high-performance applications and APIs using C# and modern .NET technologies. Key responsibilities include maintaining and developing web applications, developing and optimizing RESTful APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting, debugging, and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, and Razor/Blazor.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs to support integrations with e-commerce platforms, customer systems, and internal applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Proactively test and optimize applications to eliminate defects, improve performance, and ensure a smooth user experience.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and peer reviews.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability through code optimization, caching strategies, and other techniques.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing applications to ensure reliability and performance.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET (Core or later).
• Hands-on experience with UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Blazor, or other similar technologies).
• Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript and CSS, including building responsive, maintainable user interfaces and optimizing client-side performance.
• Experience using responsive design patterns across multiple devices.
• Strong experience in API design and development (REST, JSON, etc.).
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of microservice architecture and cloud deployments (Azure or AWS preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with database management systems (SQL).
• Experience with version control systems (Git).

Skills

• Strong programming skills in C# and .NET.
• Experience with modern JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience with UI frameworks like React, Angular, or Blazor.

Pay

$117,000.00 - $133,000.00 annually, plus STI.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, Full-Time, Exempt. Hybrid Schedule Available - 220 Remington Blvd, Bolingbrook, IL.
