Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized (micro) services for a distributed multi-tenant system that processes data, real-time events, and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations.
  • Design services, work out architectural details, defend designs before peers, and deliver robust implementations.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns to help them grow and become productive team members.
  • Primarily write code in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL or other interfaces.
  • Own critical features and subsystems throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from clarifying requirements to ensuring successful deployment and customer usage.
  • Own operational aspects of the system, gaining first-hand experience in operating a large-scale system to improve software supportability.
  • Ensure code quality through early developer testing and functional/integration testing to build robust and resilient products.
  • Partner with Product Management to refine requirements that exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of fundamental customer problems through interaction with stakeholders and peers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
  • Passion for software development, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team setting.
  • AWS / Azure / GCP cloud experience: Extensively used one of these platforms at the API/programming level.
  • Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
  • Experience delivering containerized services on a Kubernetes-based platform.

Skills

  • Experience in Go and SQL.
  • REST API client experience.
  • CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible are nice to have.
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
  • Unix/Linux programming environment experience.

Schedule

5 on-site days a week in Sunnyvale, CA Headquarters.
