Sr. Software Engineer

Description

The Sr. Software Engineer designs and develops software applications. They perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process, focusing on adding value to the product line. They are expected to communicate effectively across different development teams and handle complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Identify process gaps and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve time efficiency and reduce risks.
• Develop SQL views, stored procedures, tables, triggers, and functions within SQL Server 2017 using SQL Server Management Studio and MSBI.
• Code web services and modules using C#.NET, SOAP, XML, JSON, or other languages.
• Work with various database systems including MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in software engineering.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript ecosystem, particularly Node.js and TypeScript.
• Advanced proficiency with git/github (including safe rollbacks, rebase, cherry-pick).
• Solid experience with AWS services such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Experience applying software design principles (SOLID).
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD environments.
• Relational database experience (SQL).
• Experience with unit testing.
• Experience working remotely.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Nice to have: 7+ years of software industry experience, graph databases (OrientDB), Elasticsearch, AWS or other cloud provider infrastructure experience, leadership and proactive attitude.
