Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile software development practices and promote clean coding standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering continuous learning and engineering excellence.
- Drive architectural vision and technical strategy for enterprise software solutions.
- Make key system-level design decisions focused on scalability, performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Translate business requirements and operational objectives into effective technical solutions.
- Own software solutions from design through deployment, support, and ongoing enhancement.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, stakeholders, and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while maintaining system stability and service reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback aligned with engineering best practices.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, development processes, and technical governance.
- Ensure all engineering efforts align with ADMS platform architecture, integration standards, and technical requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive software innovation and product delivery.
- Support additional engineering initiatives and organizational priorities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or Software Architect.
- Strong background leading software engineering teams in Agile environments.
- Expertise in software architecture, system design, and enterprise application development.
- Experience making complex architectural and technical decisions across large-scale systems.
- Strong understanding of software performance, scalability, security, and maintainability principles.
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical reviews.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional product and engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical priorities with business objectives.
- Proven experience supporting production systems and resolving complex system issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS).
- Knowledge of utility operations, electric grid management, and utility business processes.
- Experience supporting or integrating with the Emerson, OSI, or AspenTech ADMS ecosystem.
- Experience with enterprise software integration patterns and distributed system architecture.
- Background delivering solutions in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
- Expertise across multiple programming languages, frameworks, and modern software engineering toolsets.
- Experience leading modernization, transformation, or platform engineering initiatives.
