About the role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the full-stack design, development, and delivery of software solutions within a high-velocity engineering team. This role blends engineering excellence with an AI-first mindset, including the ability to rapidly prototype using GenAI platforms. You will work on a project to consolidate systems into a unified platform, building and maintaining backend services in a serverless AWS environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver cloud-native, microservices-based solutions on AWS.
  • Build and maintain backend services and scalable REST APIs in a serverless AWS environment using event-driven architecture.
  • Own end-to-end development, including automated testing and ensuring production readiness.
  • Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications and microservices across Flutter/Dart, React/JavaScript, and Python/Node.js/Java.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate code generation, testing, documentation, and code review.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK/SAM).
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers on design and cloud practices.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, including two days onsite per week in Atlanta.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without a need for sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience with Python for backend development.
  • Frontend exposure, particularly with Flutter/Dart or React/TypeScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK, SAM, CloudFormation).
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or equivalent).
  • Exposure to agentic AI workflows and multi-agent systems.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is required.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, or 7+ years of equivalent experience. Must have strong backend engineering fundamentals.

Skills

  • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
  • Strong proficiency with event-driven systems and DynamoDB.
  • Proficiency across the full stack: mobile/cross-platform (Flutter/Dart), web (React/JavaScript), and backend (Python, Node.js, Java/Spring Boot).
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI/GenAI tools in a professional development workflow.
  • Ownership of testing as an integral part of the development process.

Benefits

This role supports a major initiative to consolidate various systems into a single, unified platform. You will be part of a fast-paced team focused on rapid feature development and deployment, with an expectation of producing testable code quickly. The environment is collaborative, involving work with other engineers, architects, and product teams on multi-platform development for web, Android tablets, and other devices.
