Sr. Software Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of software development and test engineers to resource, plan, and execute engineering activities to meet customer requirements.
- Develop embedded, micro-controller software/firmware for avionic systems using C and assembly.
- Manage software development processes in accordance with DO-178B planning, requirements traceability, coding standards, and verification procedures.
- Drive schedules, optimize development activities and resources, and remove obstacles.
- Develop requirements from customer needs, occasionally with minimal technical definition.
- Oversee software development and testing to ensure engineering solutions are of the highest quality and meet organizational goals.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in embedded C, microcontroller, and firmware development.
- Strong skills in software engineering, development, and team leadership.
- Experience with C RTOS, embedded systems, and DO-178 aerospace standards.
- 7-8+ years of software engineering experience, managing engineering projects and teams in a regulated industry.
- Strong testing and debugging skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS or MS in software engineering or a related degree.
- Experience with aircraft systems such as ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RTCA DO-178/DO-254, MIL-STD-461 / MIL-STD-810 / DO-160.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of DOORS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capability of handling multiple details simultaneously and easily moving between strategic and tactical work.
Work Environment
This position is located in Eden Prairie, MN and is 100% onsite.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
