Sr. Software Engineer Architect

About the role

The Software Engineer Architect will be responsible for creating and evangelizing data engineering standards and methodology at EOG, leading and guiding multiple teams and projects, choosing and implementing different technology stacks for various business data needs, implementing and supporting business-driven tasks and processes, and data modeling business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent technical degree with 8 years of data engineering or similar experience; or Master's degree in equivalent field with 6 years of data engineering or similar experience
• Experience in gathering business requirements and translating and implementing them into scalable, reliable, and distributed data engineering solutions
• Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting the full life-cycle of software solutions
• Experience working with multiple teams to implement enterprise data engineering projects and mentoring team members
• Expertise in one or more technologies relevant to data engineering
• Clear understanding and experience in relational and non-relational databases
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing event-driven, cloud-based architectures
• Expertise in containerization and streaming technologies
