Sr. Software Development Engineer, Ads Core Services (ACS)

About the role

We are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance advertising products that drive discovery and sales. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses driving long term growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Advertiser Account Permissions including relationship between different accounts, User Management, Access Control for end-users experience, programmatic and agentic access patterns.
• Work on the next-generation Access Management akin to AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) service.
• Build Tier-1 services to handle millions of requests per day, while maintaining response latencies in the milliseconds and meeting strict SLA requirements (high operational standards).
• Develop distributed solutions with service oriented architecture to build high performance platforms to service world's largest selection to millions of customers.
• Operate on massive datasets using distributed frameworks.
• Design new and rebuild existing solutions for the fast growing scale of the next generation of advertising services.
• Drive appropriate technology choices for the business, lead the way for continuous innovation, and shape the future of e-commerce.

Requirements

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Skills

Full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $184,900.00 - $250,200.00 annually
