About the role

Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) is storage for the Internet. We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join our foundation team to support AWS services for orchestrating software deployments to the S3 fleet and post processing of S3 APIs including Metering, Events and Logging. You will contribute towards our rapidly increasing scale as we expand our services to internal and external customers. To meet and exceed our customers' expectations, we are constantly working on software innovation, process automation, and improving cloud storage infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Support AWS services for orchestrating software deployments to the S3 fleet
• Post processing of S3 APIs including Metering, Events, and Logging
• Contribute to rapidly increasing scale as services expand to internal and external customers
• Work on software innovation, process automation, and improving cloud storage infrastructure
• Lead design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Mentor, tech lead, or lead an engineering team

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

USA, VA, Arlington - $168,100.00 - $227,400.00 USD annually
