About the role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the AWS Healthcare AI team, you'll spearhead the complete technical lifecycle, from system design to implementing robust distributed systems and developing AI-powered healthcare solutions. You'll work on transformative products that leverage generative and agentic AI to enhance clinical and administrative workflows for healthcare providers. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient care, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional value to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete technical lifecycle, including system design and implementation of robust distributed systems
• Develop AI-powered healthcare solutions using generative and agentic AI
• Enhance clinical and administrative workflows for healthcare providers
• Drive transformative products that improve patient care and operational efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay

Base salary range: $168,100 - $227,400 USD annually (USA, WA, Seattle). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
