Sr. Signal Integrity (SI) Applications Engineer

About the Role

Samtec, Inc., a privately held, $1 Billion global manufacturer of electronic interconnect solutions, is seeking a Senior Signal Integrity (SI) Applications Engineer. This role will own platform-level customer enablement strategy and standards, approve high-impact customer deliverables and methods, influence toolchain roadmaps, KPIs, and data governance, and drive cross-business-unit (BU) enablement and best-practice adoption with SI/PI/ME partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform component and system simulations; translate results into clear customer-facing insights.
• Build and maintain customer simulation kits and supporting files; ensure versioning/traceability in appropriate/approved systems.
• Create demo/channel concatenation reports, including assumptions, stitch rules, and performance expectations.
• Author or contribute to application notes/white papers and training materials.
• Prepare BOR packages and collaborate with layout/SI teams to support launches and correlation.
• Own platform standards and governance for analysis/correlation; approve high-impact deliverables.
• Define KPIs/dashboards and coach teams to improve quality, cycle time, and reuse.
• Mentor staff/senior engineers; drive cross-BU enablement and multi-site alignment.
• Lead platform collateral strategy (reference channels, playbooks, training curricula).
• Partner with standards bodies and participate in customer/industry forums as appropriate.

Requirements

• 15 years of relevant SI applications experience.
• Deep understanding and ability to approve analysis/correlation standards and governance across sites.
• Experience defining KPIs/dashboards for analysis quality, cycle time, and reuse; influences investment plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related subject is required.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
