Sr. Security Engineer, Ring Application Security

Responsibilities
- Analyze the security of applications and services
- Discover and address security issues
- Build security automation
- Quickly react to new threat scenarios
- Develop elegant solutions to complex business problems and apply appropriate technologies while following security engineering best practices
- Mentor more junior engineers and serve as a security thought leader for the organization
Skills
A successful candidate will need a combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which may include project and software development work. This role will provide career growth opportunities as you gain new security skills in the course of your duties, including:

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of non-internship background in troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks using command line tools
- 5+ years of work in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
- 4+ years of (non-internship) scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages
- Knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques or equivalent
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures/microservices and web services
- Experience with device security at the firmware level

Pay
- USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $183,000.00 - $247,600.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Austin: $178,400.00 - $226,700.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $178,400.00 - $226,700.00 USD annually
Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
