Sr. Security Consultant - GRC

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Security Consultant - GRC to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will serve as a trusted advisor on governance, risk, and compliance, with a strong focus on cybersecurity governance and client-facing advisory work. The consultant will lead engagements independently, helping organizations strengthen security controls, align with regulatory requirements, and improve audit readiness. This position also partners closely with sales and technical teams to identify needs, shape recommendations, and deliver practical solutions. You will work across assessments, tabletop exercises, governance models, and compliance reporting to support stronger operational security and risk management outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor on GRC and cybersecurity governance.
• Lead and deliver client-facing consulting engagements independently.
• Conduct security assessments aligned with industry frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate risk assessments and tabletop exercises for various stakeholders.
• Develop governance models, security frameworks, and operational procedures.
• Support clients with internal audit readiness and compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to identify client needs and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, risk management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in governance, risk, compliance (GRC).
• Experience in cybersecurity advisory or internal audit in a client-facing role preferred.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, Archer, or similar tools.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor preferred.

Pay

$165,000 – $205,000 annually
