About the role
The Sr. Scientist Translational Proteomics develops proteomics technologies, validates protocols, and analyzes data for biomarker research. The role operates LC-MS instruments, collaborates across teams, and ensures compliance with scientific regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop MS-based proteomics technologies for clinical biomarker studies to ensure robust translational research.
- Validate and implement protocols for processing clinical samples, including tissue and plasma, following SOPs.
- Generate and maintain PRM and DIA data to support clinical studies and collaborate with bioinformatics teams to confirm biomarker clinical utilities.
- Operate LC-MS instruments, apply strict QC measures, conduct routine maintenance, and adopt new technologies to enhance protocols.
- Analyze data, summarize outcomes, and present findings at functional and project reviews to streamline decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
- Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry and early drug development phases.
- Comprehensive understanding of current principles and concepts within the role-specific field.
- Familiarity with regulations and compliance systems related to scientific work; broad understanding of R&D disciplines; awareness of patent and intellectual property issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Desirable: Master’s degree in a related field.
- Advanced knowledge in the subject area.
- Advanced degree within the field and/or professional certification.
- Well-developed understanding of drug metabolism processes and pharmacokinetics.
- Well-developed understanding of the creation of biosignatures and biomarker analysis.
Pay
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $116,284.00 to $174,426.00. Positions offer eligibility for various incentives, including short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles, and commissions for sales roles.
