About the role

The role is responsible for managing the company's bioinformatics projects and ensuring data integrity across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee bioinformatics projects
• Ensure data integrity and quality control
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement project goals
• Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines
• Conduct regular project reviews and provide feedback

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in bioinformatics or a related field
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and command line utilities
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Skills

• Proficiency in bioinformatics software tools (e.g., Galaxy, Nextflow)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of ethical considerations in data handling and privacy

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
