About the Opportunity

The SR SAP FUNCTIONAL ANALYST - FICO is responsible for supporting and enhancing SAP Finance solutions to improve business functionality and operational efficiency. This role collaborates with various teams to maximize SAP investments, focusing on finance-related modules, and contributes to process improvements and automation to support the organization's financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Support SAP Finance solutions to enhance business performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with IT applications, development, and business teams to align technology with business processes.
• Write and maintain functional and end user documentation.
• Develop and execute test plans for system changes.
• Provide education and insights to business process owners on technology use.
• Research and assist in implementing emerging technologies and vendor solutions.
• Resolve issues impacting team effectiveness.
• Guide creation of functional business requirements and coordinate with development teams.
• Map current and future state business processes to identify technology gaps.
• Advocate for technology or data needs to resolve finance system issues.
• Recommend technical process improvements aligned with accounting and IT strategies.
• Evaluate and incorporate new finance-related software functionalities.
• Lead continuous improvement projects.
• Serve as SAP subject matter expert for accounting and finance business units.
• Support SAP connected systems such as tax, procurement, and shipping packages.
• Mentor and train new team members.
• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery documentation.
• Participate in training related to application functionality and best practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Four-year STEM degree or equivalent experience.
• At least seven years of SAP applications experience, including two full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Extensive hands-on experience configuring SAP FICO applications and modules.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration between FI, MM, and SD modules.
• Experience with SAP General Ledger and SAP new GL module; S/4 HANA experience preferred.
• At least five years of SAP FICO design and configuration experience.
• Experience with SAP BusinessObjects or similar financial reporting tools.
