Sr. Sales Associate

About the role

Primary responsibility is to provide excellent service to our customers. Strive to meet or exceed all store goals and company business initiatives. Associates will be responsible for a variety of tasks throughout a typical work day as directed by the store management team. In addition to these responsibilities, SR Sales Associates will have additional POS/Back Office duties including refunds/exchanges, processing Ship-to-Home (S2H) and Customer Pickup orders. Maintain and adhere to all company and Store Operations policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Ensure merchandise is well-arranged and properly presented.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and help with merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions according to policy, including checking shoes for mates.
• Handle refunds, exchanges, Ship-to-Home (S2H), and Customer Pickup orders.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with external contacts (primarily customers) and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
