Sr. Sales Associate
About the Role
Primary responsibility is to provide excellent service to our customers. Strive to meet or exceed all store goals and company business initiatives. Associates will handle a variety of tasks throughout a typical work day as directed by the store management team. SR Sales Associates will have additional POS and Back Office responsibilities, including processing refunds/exchanges, S2H, and Customer Pickup orders.
Responsibilities
- Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
- Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
- Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and ensure merchandise presentation meets standards.
- Keep stock well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store clean and organized.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
- Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
- Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving merchandise, and placing merchandise on the sales floor.
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions according to policy, including checking shoes for mates.
- Handle refunds, exchanges, S2H, and Customer Pickup orders in the Back Office.
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
- Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
