Sr. Sales Associate

About the Role

Primary responsibility is to provide excellent service to our customers, striving to meet or exceed all store goals and company business initiatives. Associates will handle a variety of tasks throughout a typical work day as directed by the store management team. Senior Sales Associates will also have additional POS and Back Office responsibilities, including processing refunds/exchanges, Ship-to-Home (S2H), and Customer Pickup orders.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions and ensure merchandise presentation meets standards.
• Keep stock well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and place merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy, including checking shoes for mates.
• Handle additional POS/Back Office tasks such as refunds, exchanges, and processing S2H and Customer Pickup orders.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
