Sr. Sales Analyst
About the role
Nextpower is leading the energy transition with a comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and control software solutions for solar power plants, as well as strategic services to capture the full value of solar power plants for our customers. This role will be based in either Fremont, CA, Nashville, TN, or San Rafael, CA.
The Senior Sales Analyst will input and manage all aspects of customer project information within the CRM system, generate quotations and comprehensive proposals based on project technical requirements and customer-specific needs. The role involves close collaboration with Project Engineering, Logistics, Operations, and Finance teams to exceed customer expectations while maintaining maximum margin contribution. This position includes a mix of internal and external management responsibilities, such as coordinating departments for quotation inputs and following up with customers and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Divide, follow up, and close incoming U.S. leads as part of the Sr. Sales Analyst team.
- Run bid strategy meetings for projects before quotes are released to customers.
- Assume functional control of complex multi-million-dollar opportunities, guiding them through the NX Sale Process from RFP to contract execution and handoff.
- Manage day-to-day interactions with key account stakeholders.
- Coordinate sales proposals with key stakeholders and provide creative input to bid strategy.
- Track sales activities using NetSuite ERP and Salesforce CRM.
- Manage all CRM system reporting, improvements, and modifications.
- Generate sales reports and presentations for a variety of stakeholders.
- Create and maintain sales models, ensuring positive contribution margin on all Nextpower sales.
- Work closely with the Global Sales/Business Development Team on creative deal structuring and bid strategy.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Product Management Team to provide input on new products.
- Work with Customer Care to ensure efficient communications and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Streamline, standardize, and improve proposal templates, bankability binders, and client presentations.
- Build excellent working relationships with other Nextpower departments, including Customer Applications, Cost Accounting, Logistics, and Engineering.
- Support the Director of Sales Operations and Manager of Sales Analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achieving or exceeding group sales targets.
- Data cleanliness in the CRM system.
- Ability to coordinate and drive different departments to meet customer due dates.
- Support of other team members.
- Accuracy and completeness of handoff packages for the Operations team.
- 90% of allocated leads are followed up and closed out.
- Bid strategy summary report.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of B2B Sales Support experience.
- BS/BA in a business or technical field (MBA desired).
- Experience in sales analysis, financial analysis, business development, and/or program management.
- Solar experience and passion for solar (a plus).
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience utilizing CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP (NetSuite preferred) systems.
- Proven analytical background.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel to meet customers 10% of the time.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000, plus a commission structure based on commission calculation, such as percentage of sales or specific metrics.
