Sr. Risk Control Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated professional to elevate their Risk and Safety consulting expertise and partner with our insureds to drive meaningful impact. This role supports our Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania territory and may be fully remote, reporting to our Bloomfield, IN office.
As a member of our Risk Control department, you will work alongside the underwriting team to acquire and retain profitable accounts by evaluating the risks and exposures of our motor carrier insureds and prospective customers. You will partner with current and prospective insureds to develop strategies to mitigate risk and analyze state and regional loss trends. Travel is required several times per month to visit insureds and prospects (>60%), with autonomy to schedule customer visits within your assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate risks and exposures of motor carrier insureds and prospective customers.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies in partnership with insureds.
- Analyze state and regional loss trends.
- Travel frequently (>60%) to visit insureds and prospects within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to acquire and retain profitable accounts.
Qualifications
- Background or education in insurance, safety, commercial auto risk management, or loss prevention.
- Adept in networking, building relationships, negotiating, and problem-solving.
- Experience in coaching, education, public presentations, and a consultative approach.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent public speaking skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational, analytical, and professional skills.
