Sr. Revenue Accountant / Revenue Accounting Lead

About the role

The Sr. Revenue Accountant / Revenue Accounting Lead position is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards. This role will also involve managing accounts receivable processes, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate revenue reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and IFRS
• Manage accounts receivable processes including invoicing, collections, and aging reports
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of revenue accounting systems and procedures
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights to improve revenue forecasting accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting or a similar role
• CPA certification preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Experience with revenue recognition standards and accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment
• Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
