Sr. Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership and direction to construction teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Monitor project progress, schedule, and budget, reporting status and issues to project managers.
  • Coincide with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare daily reports, documentation, and maintain project records.
  • Support change order management and claims resolution process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in construction management, preferrably on transit projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on-site.
  • Experience working on large-scale civil, infrastructure, or commercial projects is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP, DBIA certifications preferred.

Pay

Salary Range: $200,000-$215,000

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position.
