About the role

We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join our Myeloid Diseases team. This role will focus on advancing our understanding and development of therapies for myeloid malignancies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and interpret experiments to identify and validate novel drug targets in myeloid diseases.
  • Develop and implement in vitro and in vivo models to evaluate therapeutic candidates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biology, pharmacology, and translational research, to advance drug discovery programs.
  • Analyze and present data to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to scientific publications and presentations.
  • Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies in the field of myeloid diseases.
  • Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a culture of scientific excellence and innovation.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in myeloid disease research.
  • Strong expertise in hematopoiesis, leukemia biology, or related areas, with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Hands-on experience with techniques such as flow cytometry, cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, and molecular biology assays.
  • Proficiency in in vivo models of hematologic malignancies, including xenograft and syngeneic models.
  • Experience with drug discovery and development processes, including target identification, validation, and lead optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.

  • Flow cytometry and cell sorting (e.g., FACS)
  • CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and functional genomics
  • In vivo modeling (xenograft, syngeneic, PDX models)
  • Molecular and cellular biology techniques (qPCR, Western blot, ELISA, etc.)
  • Data analysis and visualization (e.g., GraphPad Prism, R, Python)
