About the Role

Provide focused analysis of Counterintelligence (CI), Counterterrorism (CT), counterespionage (CE), insider threat (IT), and cyber CI investigations in support of the CI Investigative Mission. Conduct analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. Offer all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements.

Analyze incoming reporting and referrals from across the U.S. Intelligence Community and from CI investigative, operational, collection, and targeting results. This analysis will provide data for the CCICA to effectively scope potential leads and determine the appropriate CI response, whether an investigation or other CI mission. Enable CCICA to supervise highly sensitive national security investigations and provide senior Army leaders, investigative managers, and field agents with appropriate perspective on threats to the U.S. Army for decision-making.

Evaluate multiple analytical efforts related to major and ongoing national security investigations for redundancy and provide written reports to Government Team/Branch/Division Chiefs. Identify and disseminate Foreign Intelligence Element Modus Operandi by conducting in-depth reviews of historical CONUS-based CI investigations and provide periodic analytical updates on major investigations currently underway.

Conduct extensive and in-depth liaison with CI analytical organizations across ACIC and the Intelligence Community (IC) to understand investigations in a broader national context. Utilize a wide variety of unclassified and classified internal and external databases and resources to conduct data queries and provide written reports to Government Team/Branch/Division Chiefs.

Analyze the CI and investigative potential of CI and CI cyber reporting. Conduct exchanges with internal and external agency representatives and analysts. Perform financial analysis and link chart analysis in support of CI and CI cyber investigations.

Requirements

  • Experience with AR 381-12 (Threat Awareness and Reporting Program), AR 381-20 (U.S. Army Counterintelligence), AR 381-10 (U.S. Intelligence), and DoDI 5240.23 (CI Activities in Cyberspace).

Qualifications

Desired education and corresponding years of relevant experience (with at least a portion within the last 2 years):

  • High School Diploma: 20 years
  • Associate’s Degree: 16 years
  • Bachelor’s Degree: 14 years
  • Master’s Degree: 12 years

Security Clearance

Active TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.

Pay

Salary range: $100,000 - $132,000. Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
