Sr Reliability / Quality Engineer, Data Center Infrastructure Products
Position Overview
The Senior Reliability and Quality Engineer leads reliability and quality strategies for internally designed data center infrastructure products. This role partners with engineering teams to develop and execute testing and validation programs for mission critical cooling and electrical systems, including CRAC units, chillers, liquid cooling, PDUs, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment.
Responsibilities
Define reliability and quality requirements for new data center infrastructure products and develop testing strategies throughout the product lifecycle
Develop and execute validation programs including accelerated life testing, environmental stress screening, thermal cycling, vibration testing, and electrical safety validation
Conduct FMEA and root cause analysis to resolve design or manufacturing issues and improve long term product performance
Work closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers to implement reliability testing, quality checkpoints, and manufacturing validation processes
Partner with engineering, project management, procurement, commissioning, and compliance teams to ensure reliability standards are built into product development
Support certification processes and ensure products meet applicable standards including UL, CE, IEC, ASHRAE, and other data center industry requirements
Analyze field performance data, warranty claims, and customer feedback to identify trends and improve product reliability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field
10 or more years of experience in reliability engineering, quality engineering, or product validation with mission-critical electromechanical systems
Strong experience with reliability testing including accelerated life testing, environmental stress screening, vibration testing, HALT or HASS, and electrical safety validation
Deep understanding of FMEA, root cause analysis methodologies, and quality management systems
Experience working with external manufacturers and supplier quality programs
Knowledge of data center infrastructure equipment such as cooling systems or electrical distribution equipment preferred
Expected Salary Range
$200,000 - $250,000 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus
