  • Create realistic, actionable design plans and deliverables schedules; demonstrate accountability for task and project completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with laboratory technicians and support staff.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in medical-device product development and design.
  • Experience with medical-device design controls and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Minitab, and FEA tools (Abaqus/Fluent) preferred.
  • Understanding of DOE, statistical methods, and failure theory for plastics, elastomers, and metals under static and time-variable loading.
  • Experience with contact and non-contact metrology and manufacturing process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ, First Article Inspection, Factory Acceptance Testing).
  • Knowledge of disciplined product-development processes and regulatory/quality requirements (21 CFR 820.30).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; demonstrated leadership and team orientation.
