Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
- Counsels internal audits and supports third-party audits (e.g., AS9100) to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develops and maintains quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, and quality reports.
- Utilizes advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Provides training and support to team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintains and monitors quality performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Supports new product development and introduction processes to ensure quality requirements are met from concept to production.
- Leads and participates in improvement projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in Manufacturing/Assembly Operations, Quality, Engineering, and/or Procurement.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Reliability Engineer, and/or Certified Quality Auditor certification preferred.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Proficiency with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with manufacturing statistical methods, including process capability, Gage R&R, probability, and statistical inference.
