About the role
The Quality Assurance Department at Amway is seeking a Sr. Engineer with a strong background in Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, and Product Development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in these fields, with a demonstrated ability to implement Quality by Design (QbD) principles.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across multiple functions to prevent quality issues through 'Quality by Design' thinking.
- Manage, lead, or participate in complex cross-functional efforts to improve product quality and processes.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and teams, or serve as QA lead for cross-functional initiatives including equipment qualification, value chain projects, and new product launches.
- Interface with manufacturing, process engineering, product development, and regulatory representatives concerning raw material issues and ensure effective corrective action is implemented.
- Represent the customer to resolve quality issues encountered during the course of normal product usage.
- Ensure products, materials, and services comply with established specifications and technical requirements through application of quality tools and principles.
- Communicate and enforce Global Quality Conformance Checklists to ensure consistent quality standards globally.
- Support technical programs and projects, directing the work of technicians, lower-level scientists, engineers, interns, and contractors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, and/or Product Development in the CPG, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated experience in Quality by Design or experience in product or process development is preferred.
- Experience in statistical analysis (in Minitab or JMP).
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
Skills
- Experience in or supporting a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality standards and Design for Quality practices.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical techniques, and problem solving.
- Ability to collaborate with Product Development, Project Management, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, and Manufacturing to effectively and efficiently resolve issues.
