Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.

Clearance Requirements: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
• Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment, and finished products.
• Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
• Reviews Documents/Drawings/Instructions for conformance to requirements.
• Compares defects against standards and recommends dispositions; verifies implementation of rework.
• Collects, organizes, and analyzes project data; generates and/or reviews metrics.
• Performs audits, assigns corrective action, and verifies implementation.
• Participates in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews and technical peer reviews.
• Verifies compliance to defined requirements; witnesses and/or monitors test activities.
• Receives instructions from immediate supervisor; interfaces with multiple work groups under general supervision.
• Works as an individual technical contributor on one or multiple projects; participates as an active member of the project team.
• Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, quality personnel, project leaders, and customer representatives.
• Provides resolution to problems of moderate scope; may require travel.

Skills

• Very solid knowledge of engineering (software, electrical, systems, etc.) methodologies, tools, and standards.
• Very solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, CMMI, ISO 14001, ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc.
• Very solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Very solid written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly recognize and report relevant to sound quality engineering practices.
• Ability to think creatively and multi-task.
• Very solid skills in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
• Very solid knowledge of interpretation of drawings and reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements.
• Very solid skills in reporting quality activities, findings, and issues both in writing and verbally.
• Very solid interpersonal skills and computer skills, including desktop software and required factory or engineering tools.
• Very solid knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques.
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $94,056.00/Yr. - USD $104,343.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (e.g., geographic location). Actual pay may vary.
