About the role

In this position you will perform assay development, characterization, optimization, transfer, validation, and investigations for QC. You will provide technical support, guidance, and supervision for release, stability, and in-process testing and assay development.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assay development and validation for QC.
  • Reviews new test procedures and assays.
  • Evaluates and brings in new methodologies and techniques when needed.
  • Facilitates assay transfer from R&D and to business partners.
  • Organizes analytical assay transfer internally and externally.
  • Sets product specifications.
  • Participates in technical troubleshooting and problem investigation.
  • Reviews analytical development reports, assay and process validation reports, and other technical documents for technical correctness and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in training programs for analysts.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field, and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with cell or gene therapy in a Biopharmaceutical environment is strongly preferred.
  • PhD preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of HPLC-based assays.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with a variety of people on different tasks.
  • Enjoys mentoring and training others on systems, processes, and problem-solving.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of taking on new and sometimes ambiguous challenges and learning quickly.

Pay

Salary Range (annually): $78,700.00 - $128,700.00 (for jobs in Canada).
