Sr Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive end-to-end quality by collaborating with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders. This role involves defining, implementing, and championing quality practices to deliver high-quality software products. The focus will be on front-end automation testing for an application migration from on-premise to AWS, with approximately 30% of the work involving manual end-to-end interface testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, test, and deliver technology solutions for business areas and execute comprehensive software quality assurance strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts.
• Validate applications using Selenium and conduct performance testing using JMeter.
• Identify software connectivity and integration points, ensuring applications are set up correctly in new cloud environments.
• Execute validation activities related to cloud environment migrations.
• Document, track, and resolve software defects in collaboration with the product delivery team.
• Ensure quality is built into the software solution throughout the development lifecycle by performing peer reviews.
• Assist in integrating automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline.

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Quality Engineer.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong experience with AWS for cloud migration work.
• Experience with Selenium automation scripts, performance scripts, triage, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with regression or performance testing.
• Experience in UI and API automation for Web Applications.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Selenium is required.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL for data and application validation.
• CI/CD experience related to integrating automated test suites into pipelines.

Education

Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science/technology, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cypress.
• Experience with RestAssured.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative, agile, cloud-based delivery environment.
