Sr. QA Manufacturing Inspector - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Space and Defense Group within Moog is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manufacturing Inspector to join their 3rd shift team in East Aurora, NY.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform various complex first piece and first article inspections to AS9100 standards to evaluate manufacturing process effectiveness and operator/technician competency.
• Absorb and assess process risks due to variations in setup, tool usage, ambiguous instructions, measuring equipment limitations, human factors, and suboptimal manufacturing methods.
• Aid in business system and product audits.
• Inspect parts using inspection techniques and layouts of varying complexity.
• Aid in manufacturing and production management to ensure workmanship standards are met.
• Assist in training operators and inspectors on best practices, procedures, and inspection techniques.
• Support problem-solving activities to provide evaluation support for identified nonconformities.
• Proficient in the use and understanding of automated and manual measuring and testing equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• At least 5 years of experience in Quality Inspection in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated and manual measuring and test equipment.

• Buffalo, NY: $34.56–$46.07 hourly.
