Sr. QA Engineer - IP Routing

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end validation and testing strategies for IP routing features, including SR-MPLS, SRv6, BGP, EVPN, and L3VPN
• Lead development of test architecture, automation strategies, and quality engineering practices for large-scale routing platforms
• Design and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases using Python to expand test coverage and efficiency
• Collaborate with development, product management, and system engineering teams to support feature delivery
• Define and execute test plans covering functional, scale, performance, and interoperability scenarios
• Mentor engineers to support technical development and consistency in engineering practices
• Influence product quality through design reviews, defect analysis, and risk identification

Requirements

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in networking with a focus on IP routing and protocols
• Experience: Application of SR-MPLS, SRv6, BGP, EVPN, and L3VPN technologies
• Experience: Developing automated test cases using Python within networking or distributed systems environments
• Experience: Application of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, and switching
• Experience: Experience working with test automation frameworks and CI/CD practices
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and collaborate across teams

Qualifications

• Nice to haves: Application of AI concepts and Copilot-assisted automation development
• Nice to haves: Experience working with network virtualization and cloud-native networking environments
• Nice to haves: Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms
• Nice to haves: Exposure to telemetry, observability, and performance analytics tools

Pay

• Pay Range: C$ 89,100- C$142,300 in Canada
• Pay Range: $127,100- $203,000 in California, US
