Sr. Python Developer

Contract position based in Menlo Park, CA. This is a fully remote role.

About the role

As a Sr. Python Engineer, you will contribute to building the next generation of AI models. You will perform qualitative analysis of data, develop Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web efficiently, and write SQL queries to further process the data. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient manner
• Write SQL queries to further process the data
• Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug software applications
• Ensure software applications meet quality and performance standards
• Provide timely solutions to technical issues
• Document software applications and ensure documentation is up-to-date
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field (required)
• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language
• Proficient in working with Linux systems and writing shell scripts
• Proficient in writing SQL queries
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience working on large-scale software development projects

Pay

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00 per hour.
