Sr. Prototyping Architect, PACE, AWS Prototyping and Cloud Engineering

You will be part of a agile team of innovative practitioners who are obsessed with understanding the needs of our customers and have the skills to partner with them in experimenting with new ideas that can open up new markets or radically change how they deliver existing products/services.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test and implement loosely coupled distributed software solutions.
- Research and employ up-to-date technological developments in customer engagements.
- Drive the AWS platform by aligning customer requirements with AWS service teams’ roadmaps.
- This role will focus on customers using AWS for research, development, and innovation.
- Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white-papers, tutorials, blogs, etc.
Requirements
Key job responsibilities include architecting, developing, testing, and implementing loosely coupled distributed software solutions, researching and employing up-to-date technological developments in customer engagements, and driving the AWS platform by aligning customer requirements with AWS service teams' roadmaps. This role focuses on customers using AWS for research, development, and innovation. Authors or contributes to AWS customer-facing publications such as white-papers, tutorials, blogs, etc.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
- Experience working with end user or developer communities.
- Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.
